PBF POST-SONA BREAKFAST

The Progressive Business Forum (PBF) hosted a post-State of the Nation Address (SONA) business breakfast in Cape Town on 11 February at the Cullinan Hotel.

​

The event was aimed at creating a platform of engagement to reflect on opportunities and challenges of the SONA.

​

The live event, introduced by the PBF Convenor, Sipho Mbele, saw the participation  of and remarks by the ANC Treasurer General, Paul Mashatile and the Minister in the Presidency, Hon Mondli Gungubele. Responding as panellists were Prof Anthony Butler, Head of Political Studies at UCT and Mr Miyelani Mkhabela, CEO of Antwisa Transaction Advisory.

The capacity event, attended i.a, by PBF business subscribers and representatives and heads of diplomatic Missions in South Africa, saw a lively discussion and question-and-answer session, facilitated by prominent journalist and activist, Zubeida Jaffer. 

​

The interaction bore witness to  the clear interest of the participants to be engaged and to seek a way of progress of South Africa in the best interests of the country.

The PBF will host ongoing and similar events throughout the year, providing a platform of engagement in terms of its mandate, to promote and facilitate enhanced communication and interaction between business and ANC representatives in Government.
